Responding to God’s Presence

What does face paint, 500 water balloons, and eight made-up countries have in common?  Answer – Camp Olympics!  Campers spent the morning competing in games like water-balloon toss, synchronized swimming, tug-o-war, and discus toss.  While the events were designed to be fun, they also reminded campers of our response to God grace in our lives.

After spending time talking about gathering as a community and recognizing God’s grace and presence in our midst, we have talked about how we respond to that grace.  As we are filled with God’s love, and peace, and healing, we are called to share that with those around us.  Campers put this into practice through the Olympic games by encouraging each other, cooperating together, and just having FUN!

Stay tuned as we look at how we can carry these practices and rhythms into our life beyond camp!
