Manic Monday

The sun was definitely present this morning and afternoon, but we fought through the heat while some cabins played soccer and others went to the high ropes. We had a record number of kids go off of the zip line this morning, which was a huge success. During teaching, the campers were given a block of wood and told to write down why they chose to come to camp so that it could serve as a daily reminder to live their week of camp to the fullest.
In the afternoon, the cabins enjoyed a much-needed dip in the pool or river. Campers enjoyed activities such as kayaking, fishing and tubing. Today in arts and crafts we made nametags, which is always fun. After a scrumptious dinner of chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes, we gathered in the activities building to sing, worship and watch the daily slide show. There was not one person in that building that wasn’t jumping and singing along.
Right now, everyone is on the centrum playing Ball-O-Le’ and I am very eager to go and join them. What the campers don’t know is that after canteen we will be having a Night Swim for our second activity. Night swims are always so much fun, I am so excited! I will check in tomorrow and tell you how it went.

Love to all,
      Lena B.
