Today in teaching, Cathy talked
about Edmund and she likened him to Moses. The comparisons were that sometimes
we are reluctant in following Gods plan and that we need to trust him. In the
movie “ The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe”, Edmund chooses to do his own
thing by following the way of the evil Witch. Because of that, he did not get
the certain blessing that his siblings got because he was too busy making his
own plans. The blessings that the brother and sisters received were weapons to
help regain the kingdom of Narnia. To tie everything together, Cathy talked to
the kids about how we should trust Jesus with the roads he has planned for us
in our lives.
At the end of the teaching, the kids got a
balloon and wrote their hopes and dreams on them. They then went outside to let
their balloon fly to God, in hope that He will help us achieve those hopes and
dreams in the ways that He has planned.
We are now off to
a Night Swim, and then we are going to have a surprise Chapel in the pool. I
can’t wait!
